Get the ultimate abs shaping workout through a challenging set of exercises that will help flatten your stomach, tighten your waistline, improve back strength and flexibility, and improve your overall body strength by moving your own body weight through various positions and exercises. Instructor shows multiple options during class for clients to choose the intensity level ideal for them. For sensitive knees and backs, our exercise classes are an ideal option to help strengthen all the muscles around the knees and all the muscles that help support the spine.
Benefits: Sculpt & Core exercise classes will help tone all of your abdominal muscles:
- Rectus abdominis – top layer of abs that gives that six-pack pack look, but remember drinking too many six-packs will cause your six-pack abs to disappear under a layer of fat!
- External and internal obliques – that rotate the trunk and help stabilize the spine
- Transversus abdominis (deepest layer of abs that helps compress and maintain a flat abdominal wall). You will strengthen all of your back muscles which will improve posture and often helps to reduce or eliminate low back pain when caused by muscle weakness or tightness.
Since planks are a terrific core exercise for the transversus abdominis, you will develop the strength to hold a plank which will shape your arms and help you develop a flat abdominal wall and trim waistline. And who doesn’t want that?!
Sculpt & Tone
Shape and tone your entire body using a variety of fitness equipment including weighted bars, free weights, resistance bands and exercise balls to target various muscle groups.
Benefits: Improves strength, balance, and coordination while defining the muscles. Weight bearing exercise is known to increase bone density and help to prevent bone deterioration.
