Mid American Fitness offers two styles of spin cycling classes: Freestyle and RPM

Freestyle spin is choreographed by the instructor – who chooses the music and designs your ride.  RPM Indoor Cycling is a researched program from Les Mills International. Our studio is one of the few fitness locations in the metro Detroit area to offer this class. RPM has great music that is perfectly choreographed to your sprints, climbs, and racing tracks. We think you’ll love both formats to keep it fresh and new each time you ride with us in a spin cycling class.

What is SMART START? If you are new to spin cycling class, we encourage you to adjust your intensity to keep a comfortable pace and resistance. We also encourage you to only stay for 20-25 minutes in your first class. Studies have shown that if you ease into exercise you’re more likely to stick with it over the long run. Each time you return to class, you’ll add 5-10 minutes until you can finish class without struggling.

Be sure to check out how to set up your bike. You will enjoy your ride more when your bike is properly aligned to your body. Our instructors will help you! They will teach where to set your seat height and handlebars. Even more importantly, they will teach you good riding form.
